I want to grow my veggies hydroponically this year, what do I need to get started?
I’m a beginner in hydroponics with just a little porch space to grow with. I already have a couple of large clear plastic tubs with lids to start with and veggie seeds: cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and some herb seeds. What else would I need to get started and where can I get them? I’d love to get everything from my local Lowe’s or Wal-Mart, but I can order online if need be. The cheaper the better.

First of all growing weed with hydroponics is not everything hydroponics is used for! Have you ever been to Epcot Center in the Land Pavilion at Disney World and seen the hydroponics exhibit there? Besides weed, you can also grow flowers, fruits and vegetables through hydroponics. Ever eaten a cherry tomato from your local grocery store? Most of these are grown with hydroponics. SHAKIR: and among his signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon; do not prostrate to the sun nor to the moon; and prostrate to Allah who created them, if him it is that you serve.
PICKTHAL: and of his portents are the night and the day and the sun and the moon. do not prostrate to the sun or the moon; but prostrate to Allah who created them, if it is in truth him whom ye worship.
YUSUFALI: among his signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it is him ye wish to serve.
The verse says that:
The night and the day and the sun and the moon; all these are signs from Allah; they are his creatures and portents of His divine Oneness and power. That is why doing not worship the sun or the moon; but worship Allah who created them, for you should worship the One Who created them.
It is also said that this means: if, by worshipping the sun and the moon, you intend to worship Allah, then do not worship them, for the worship of Allah lies in not worshipping them.
In other words, do not prostrate to the sun and moon, but prostrate to God Who created them, namely, these fours signs, if it is Him Whom you worship.

Abraham people used to worship many gods, e.g. idols, statues, figures, Planets, Moon and Sun etc.
Herein, we will see what he has done to convince the Planets, Moon and Sun Worshippers that they were wrong.
He used a simple, smooth and indirect debate to say to them that their faith is wrong!
One night, He went to the group who worship the planet and sat with them watching their gods.
When he saw their god’s planet he said: this is surely my lord! He kept watching that planet and when it set he said: ‘I do not like the setting ones.
He did the same with the group who worship the moon and when it set he said: : ‘I do not like the setting ones, ‘if my lord does not guide me, i shall surely be amongst the astray nation!
Again, he did the same with the group who worship the sun; when he saw it rise, shining, he said: ‘this must be my lord, it is larger. ‘But when it set, he said: ‘o my people I am quit of what you associate; I have turned my face to him who has created the heavens and the earth, uprightly, and I am not among the idolaters!
This was the Abraham’s indirect way to debate his people who did worship the Planets, Moon and Sun. Each group of them argued with him. But he said: ‘will you argue with me about Allah, indeed he guided me!
However, his people argued with him and he used the direct and to the point way of discussion to make clear his faith and refuse their false beliefs!
The smart readers is invited to read this Historical interesting debates between Abraham and his people who did worship the Planets, Moon and Sun.
This story is found in chapter 6 verses 75-83.

75] And so we showed Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, so that he might be of those who are sure in faith.

80] His people argued with him. He said: ‘will you argue with me about Allah, indeed he guided me! Except by his will, I do not fear those you associate with him. My lord embraces all things in knowledge, will you not remember?
81] And how should I fear what you have associated when you yourselves are not afraid that you have associated with Allah that which he did not send down for it upon you an authority. Which of the two parties is more deserving of safety and security, if you know?
82] Those who believe and do not mix up their faith with iniquity, those are they who shall have the security and they are those who go aright and they are guided. ‘
83] Such is the argument that we gave Abraham against his nation. We rise whom we will to an exalted rank. Your lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.
